ACCESSIBILITY

We specialize in accessible web design that accommodates people with disabilities. We're very familiar with the web accessibility requirements that most businesses and government agencies are required to comply with under Section 508 (c) of the Rehabilitation Act. We help our clients to integrate the Section 508 mandated accommodations into new and existing websites.

Understanding Web Accessibility

Our approach to accessibility is rooted in an understanding of the qualitatively different way that visually impaired people come to understand websites. Through coding and design methods, we represent information in a way that accommodates people using assistive technologies such as screen readers.

More Than Just Coding: An Example

Accessibility is more than just coding techniques. For instance, to make a graph accessible to people with no vision, there would need to be a written explanation of the broader trends that a person with vision could infer from the visual display.

Custom Accessibility Packages

Depending on your business requirements, we can enhance our basic level of accessibility to comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0). We develop custom sites specific to your needs that can accommodate people with visual, hearing, physical, cognitive disabilities, and limitations of old age.
